discuss diamond grading standards
Today, let's discuss diamond grading standards:
Diamond weight is measured in carats (ct). 1 carat is equivalent to 0.2 grams and is worth 100 points. All other factors being equal, a diamond's value increases with weight.
Color: Diamond color is graded from D (completely colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown), with D being the highest grade. As the color grade decreases, the value of the diamond generally decreases.
Clarity: Diamonds are graded based on the degree of internal and surface flaws, from FL (flawless) to I3 (noticeably flawed). Clarity is weighted, and the diamond's value is weighted accordingly.
Cut: Cut affects a diamond's optical quality and is graded as EX (perfect), VG (very good), G (good), F (fair), and P (poor). The better the cut, the greater the diamond's fire and brilliance.
Diamond Light Performance Standards:
Brightness: A measure of how strongly a diamond reflects white light.
Fire: The color of light scattered by a diamond.
Light Symmetry: An assessment of how evenly a diamond reflects light.
Sparkle: The sparkle of a diamond in motion.
No matter how time changes, we remain ourselves.
We remain with you.
